Expiration date?

Bag of Lay's classic potato chips

MFG date: Dec 2006
Best if purchased by: July 2007

Debate at work: Are these actually expired?

there's so many preservatives in those chips they'll probably still taste good to most people till 2010.

i still think they are eatable... it might be stale tho

Are they chips from japan?  i'd eat a chip anyway just to see but then again, isn't their motto "you can't eat just one."?

Well they are american chips since they were bought on base.  I still haven't tried yet though lol

If the bag is unopened, I'd try them. I bet they're still safe, and since they're Classic, they'll probably taste exactly the same.

Dude, I've eaten the wrapper as well, I guess just too lazy to unwrap it.  Doesn't taste any different anyways.
