there is a member here from sweeden (or switzerland, i cant remember) with an s80 on 20's, he hasnt posted in a long time. i think volvo all the time, i'd rather do a 240 or 850 wagon tho.

should this be moved to the euro section?
the last one looks sick!
i like the first pic of the red one, only because you cant really see that its wide bodied, which, in the other pics looks out of place imo. and the last one is very cool, i'd like it better if it was a wagon tho (of course ::) )
i think theyre some vip styled volvos on eurolow.com
Im totally digging the black one 8)

((([]D [] []V[] []D))))) i likey for sure. whatzit 960. i dont know volvo models well
Yeah, it's a 960. RWD Volvo's are the only real Volvo's. Except the 850 V70R/T5-R's. they are bad ass.

ohh yea i love the 850R's they are t3e Sex. besides the 960 i would love to own a R they are so rare its crazy. :smitten:
huge rounded flares on a boxy-ass volvo just look ridiculous to me. The older gen green one is cool tho.

The red wagon's flares look like they were just bent out of sheetmetal, and welded around the perimeter... it's cool and all, but then from some angles you can see how the simplistic curvature actually doesn't look too good, especially compared to the rest of the car. John Kelly of ghiaspecialities.com has some awesome pics that illustrate the difference between just bending sheetmetal to make a flare, vs. actually stretching and forming it... bent sheet metal only (which, in all honesty, doesn't look too bad given the shape of this porsche): stretched and formed sheet metal (same panels as above, just spent some time with the hammer and planishing hammer):

Found some more pics of the green 240. The wheels are widened Peugeot 407 steelies. Hope you like. now theres something you don't see everyday looks kinda bozo to me looks dope though its the simplicity plus the flares and dishes that make it drool appeal im feeling that regardless of the color which is eh?...

here's a friend of mine with a pretty hot volva....this is an older pic. The new wheels and tires may not reach all the way to VIP status but they're definitely EXE
no, they are not. that looks like a honda accord euro R.

Aren't those 5Zigens? I don't think there's much EXE there, especially with weaksauce fitment
aw man Ive seen those wheels before lol  they arent very exe or vip trust me
Those are the "old wheels" in the pic. the new ones are more exe....car is pretty clean. i'll see if i can find a more recent pic.

Not VIP styled but just a sick wagon from a performance standpoint. Nice rims too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vs100JqQGuw There are a few companies selling aero parts for Volvos in Japan, but yet to see anything close to VIP style. All a bit conservative. Plenty of clean wagons around tho. http://www.volts.co.jp/demo/zaiko.html Sorry for bringing back an old thread. Interesting stuff in this one. Just jumped here from the other Volvo thread.
not vip, but anyway :)
that green 240 volvo make my heart jump out from its place. can anybody tell me how can i get that wheel and what size is it? does the wheel arch need to be mod first?
that green 240 volvo make my heart jump out from its place. can anybody tell me how can i get that wheel and what size is it? does the wheel arch need to be mod first?
He already said theyre widened Peugeot 407 steelies. Totally custom. Popular method among vw/euro crowd. The green one is really clean though. I think thats the first modded one ive seen.
i got a 240 last model and need some fix on it coz its was bang!!! by a oil trucker luckily volvo is the safest car in the world only the front door toward front lamp is smash. no harm at all to my family. anyone can tell the mod of that green volvo like how 2 widened the wheel?
Yeah the green 240 is exceptionally nice the work that was put in was drastic and those wheels are dope...I'd like to know what he's got going on under the hood.
under the hood should be a monsterous block to match with the weight+that wheel!!!!!!!:pat:

That black one looks like an old 964 with a 95+960 face. The problem with the 964/5 (Brick Speak for 960-4 Door or 5 Door wagon) is it's got independent rear suspension that they Made High offset AND it's not well supported in the aftermarket. It's got this weird "single spring" design. So you can't really fit crazy dish wheels on it. The 944 and 945 however has low offset solid rear and can sit on some dish wheels very nicely. If you get lucky and find a 944 SE it's got the Indie suspension and it's low offset. I still think the newest S80 would look ridiculously nice VIPstyled. BTW, old volvos are actually pretty light. the 944 Turbo was about 3000lbs even decked out with all the features. the 960 gained weight due to the Big I6 engine and weighed in at about 3200-3400lbs depending on year. I love the 960 face, but that FWD offset thing they did sucks. Just swap that face onto an older 940 (pretty popular mod in Europe).
FWD offset = no excuse
not a fan.

ok here is video of my volvo wait 10 seconds before it begins..now before i get flamed by everyone i dlike to note that i was 17 years old and this was my first car..so please take it easy....flaming comments are welcome btw i did get rid of the windshield washer lights, one gay wiper, dvd player and neon in the grill and had 18 inch black with silver dish wheels (thats why i was killing the tires in the video)...those good old RICE days
the Evolve is bad ass. http://www.seriouswheels.com/cars/top-2005-Evolve-Volvo-S40-Sedan.htm
