Tire?

I know like Falken has a VIP tire made for stretching. Has anyone compared the life of this tire to stretching a"non-stretch" tire? This might not make any sense,b ut it was just a question I had. 

The set-up will be 18x8.5 +32 on all four corners. Will I be stretchin tire or can I run a "normal" tire.

Not really made for stretching.. they just took on the Vip market after the demise of the FK451 because they're an affordable sports-oriented tire from a brand that got really effing popular really fast.
And apparently, they stretch nicely, but so do other more expensive tires...they're just more expensive.
 
If you feel like ballin' you could stretch Azenis RT165s hehe

What car are you running this setup on? The specs sound conservative, but on a small car or fwd it  might require stretched tyres. Tyre life is determined by the treadwear rating. Not sure what the fk452 is rated at but thats the number you want to look at if you want to know how it wears.

IMO tyres are consumable items. They wear out, you replace them. Who cares if they last 6 months or a year. Its still cheaper than gas.

Treadwear rating is 300.

I dont believe stretched tire life and non-stretched tire life will have much difference.  Secondly, most people that stretch tires, will have alignments that are way off from OEM spec, so you may hear a lot of people say their tires didnt last.
