Have you ever fallen in love?

I'm talking about your car.Your first car or any vehicle that you love it so much you'd want to keep it forever.Here's my situation.I have a 86 Toyota Corolla GT-S hatchback that I have owned for 6 years and its my first car.Back when I first got it,it looked like a p.o.s.No one understand why I love that car so much but so many wanted to buy it.After I bought my GS300 I put the hachi up for sale.I had somebody ready to buy it but I backed out because the car is so fun.I have put so much money in to it just to keep running and stoping.Today my hachi broke again.It might be cheap to fix it but I'm so frustrated that I'm always have to spend money to fix it.And now I'm thinking about selling it.When I'm in the hachi I get the image of a young kid "drifter".I think I'm too old for that and if I sell it I may pick up a 1st gen LS400 as a dd.I just don't know yet.
So have you ever let go something you love?

The 1st car I ever purchaed on my own 1997 Honda Accord LX. I just loved it and I think thats why I think they stand out over every other car. I ended up selling it for finacial reasons, and would love to own another one soon.

well i have had 7 integras and i fell inlove with each of them. they were all different and had something about them that made me not want to let them go. then i got the 5 speed SC and LOVED it. i went drift crazy with it. but that faded away because it wasnt a true VIP car, so i sucked it up and got my GS3. between my fiance and the car, i have two of the baddest women on the west side of dallas! so i believe im TRULY in love all over again

I have had my 1972 Datsun 510 2 dr for about 6 years, and I have had it sitting with a brand new motor that only has 17 miles on it for like 4 years and finally decided to finish it. I came close to selling it like 6 times, and one of those times included me almost taking $9k for it in the condition it was in. now that it is almost done...... I would have hated myself forever!!!

I fell in love with my car the first time i saw it, stock as she could be.  Sometimes i sneak out into the garage late at night to wipe it down :smiley:

Im that way with my pontiac grand prix gtp.  I parted it out and had the parts on craigs list but I would not pick up calls because it was hard to let the parts go.  I always get offers for it but I always turn them down.  At the time, it was the most original grand prix in the states.  I would hate to see someone else riding it.

I have to admit, i do miss my 1989 2tone 240sx. It may be old, no special options or anything. But i loved how easy it was to drive and how i dont have to worry about how i drive it and beat the shit outta it unlike the Q.

I do plan on looking for another 2tone 240 in the future...

My first car was also a 97 Honda Accord, I loved that thing to death. I thought I was the sh!t cuz I had a Greddy Evo Exhaust, AEM CAI, Injen Headers, I removed the orange part in the taillight so it was just white and red, and had some Sprint springs on it. I swore it was the fastest car ever until I got my 95 240sx and did my SR20 swap. But overall I still love the Accord more than any other car I've owned....

i've fallen in love with all my cars. my first one was a s14 that got stolen and totaled. i considered buying another one recently, until i realised that i can't drive a stick anymore (injury). then the maxima that i still have that was forgotten about in storage for some yrs. pulling it out has really got me back into cars and is the reason i'm here. to a lesser extent was the 95 caprice i bought right after i got out of uti. i was so hyped on being able to do everything that i destroyed it. it ended up getting towed and i just let em keep it (i had some crazy stuff going on in my life then). but i do plan on getting a 96 impala ss again.

Yeah i was in love with my 89 240sx fastback until the bitch started actin up on me then i got rid of her. Love hurts doesn't it. Hahaha. But yeah i definitely fell in love with my 2nd vehicle 96 LS400.

Sometimes I feel like giving my car a hug.

yeah i fell in love with my first car. 1968 Buick Skylark convertible. My dad has it, its in his garage. That car will never leave my family. Nothin like driving it

Fully built 96 Spoon Civic Type R Hatch man I loved that car it was practical and really fun to drive. IT had every Type R, Spoon part you could throw at it, It even had a JDM 99 spec ITR enging and tranny set up in it. I was so anal about that build that it even had the CTR Ebrake handle just because it was black with a titanium colored button release.  People said it looked like a little RC car when it was being driven around,   but I ended up letting her go because I felt to old in it. Little ricers would always want to mess with me and I was over that whole street racing scene.  Looking back I still wish I had that car I regret selling her every single day : (

I too fell in love with my first ride, 91 240sx with sr20det swap. Had to sell it cause I kept getting pop by these pigs and didn't want to take it to the ref's or go to court to pay the fines. Than I bought a 93 mazda rx7 twin turbo wich I was crazy over, until the bitch started to act up on me and was taking all my money.

Well I posted my car up for sale on a hawaii forum and well see if someone buys it.if no one does then oh well,I'll just keep it and put it in storage.

i was in your shoes 4 months ago.  i was going to garage my hachi but i didn't want my hard work to sit and rust.  i was relieved to sell my car to a cool dude from kauai.

The car I fell in love with most was my '91 VW Corrado G60 that I just recently sold.:sad:  It was a supercharged 1.8L 8v and put a lot of work into to the engine to produce around 230hp to the crank. It also had a full race suspension on it along with some nice Corbeau black leather bucket seats and 3 pt. harnesses with the back seat removed. I loved the way this thing handled and sounded. It got attention wherever it went and surprisingly I never got pulled over in it. About a year ago it was developing a really bad electrical glitch in it and I couldn't find out what the problem was, so it sat in my garage until two months ago when I decided to sell it to another Corrado enthusiast for only $800 bucks.:sad:  I miss her so bad!!!

I regret selling my 96 civic hatch back. It was sliver with carbon hood, trunk, gutted with two recaros. Man I could go on and on bout that car. It was my baby I didn't want to let it go but I felt to old to be driving it. Two weeks after it was sold It was stolen and stripped. But one day she will rise again.
