745 0n 24's

i feel we should all admire the stance and fitment that bmw is so good at............
 what other luxury sedan can you just throw a set of 24's onto and have the fenders hug the wheels like this?

They look too big for the chassis.  I'm not into DUB.  22's is the largest I'd put on that..even then I wouldn't..if it were mine 21's at max, but most likely just aggressive 20's with mild aero, and on the ground.

Nice 740 but wheels are too big like Mike said.

With the money he spent on the size of the wheel, he could of spent on fender work to make some 20x13 -32 offsets fit.
 
Just because you can do something doesnt mean you should

20s are too small for that car.The chassis swallows them.22by12 would be better but Id drive it.

Yeah, for me those 24s still look way too big. Definitely something I would not do. What stance? a bit lowered with huge rims to fill the gap?

Really aggressive 20s would have been better.

Plus for me Chris Bangle did a horrid job designing the 7 series.

i like the size of the wheel but not the style. if it were mine i'd rock 22"s, but i can respect it.

Personally though, I think the 745 looks alright with 24s, even if I'd rather do 22" if it were mine. The problem I have with it is the style of the wheel, it makes the car look plain.

Wow! Is there even any rubber on those? I can't imagine trying to cross some train tracks with those wagon wheels. :sad:

The 24s still look like they need spacers to me, even though I know it's probably not possible (I am sure this type of customer is a "no fender modifications" playa).

The 7 comes with 20s and even offers a 21" option now from the factory. I would HAVE to do 22s on this car with a nice aggressive offset and 265/30-22 + 305/25-22. 
20s look totally lost on the 7, even more so if you slam it; they don't fill the forward and rearward radius of the wheel wells at all. Don't forget, this is a HUGE porker of a car.

Guys are putting 24s on the 300Cs and Chargers, too.

exactly. not to mention that the entire car sits up more than a few inches more than it should

i think you guys are missing the reason i posted this..........but the response is exactly what i expected from the hardcore vip-ers.
   its only sitting an inch higher than stock height with stock suspension. it was pretty much just stock with the wheels......to the average person (here in the states at least)this car would have a more superior look than almost any heavily modified vip platform out there.  i know its sad to say......but its true.
 so who really wasted their money.........it just depends on the point of view...

But this is this forum....not where those average idiots are?  So why would you NOT expect that kind of response?  And putting 24's on other cars doesn't make it right either (SoCalSC4)..I think it kills the look of a lot of cars...makes them look like Tonka toys.  That car would never look better as it is to a full done up VIP car and I bet a lot of those average people would agree, you'd be surprised.

Just to clarify, I never said that it made it right, just that this isn't the first and only car to have 24s.

In my opinion 24s are too much for the 7 and 20s are "weak sauce" on it.

22's are perfect...even 21's...
 
not feelin' those rims...needs a spoke design like the iForged Aeros...

Fitment is decent, stance is ughh. I say that because its still high off the ground with no fender gap. Id still rock the hell out of it cause most people would think its nice, dub wheels and all. I think 22s would have been a better choice.

its nice...but would look sick with the right tucked and bagged 20s.

it looks like one of those dub toys, wheels are way to big

wheels look like they belong on a 300c or dodge magnum...looks gross.

Yeah right. I beg to differ. There's nothing superior about a Beemer with huge, gaudy chrome wheels. Just because you're rich doesn't mean you have style. Those wheels take away any class that BMW had. It looks tacky.

Anyways, disregarding whatever point you were trying to prove, I hate DUB-style with a passion. It's played out now. Every car you can think of nowadays gets that awful treatment, whether it be a Bentley or a Hyundai. They look like shit. There's nothing classy about it at all. The only thing I get from it is, "LOOK AT ME I HAVE A LOT OF MONEY TO BLOW!" 

But like you said, it depends on the POV. That's mine.
