Need info on piecing together an Air Suspension kit! JZS147!

Ok, first my background: Since I am a convert of sport driving, I am very familiar with coilover suspension setups. All I need is some pointers on how and what parts I would need to piece together an airbag setup. My car is a GS300 1st gen.

please do some searching on "air suspension."  it's been covered here already.

There is too much generalizations and also many different ways of doing it. I am aware of that. I am looking to see what people that have the same car as mine has done to their 'pieced' setups, that's why I mentioned in the title the model of the car and why I posted this thread in the Toyota section.

what do you wanna do? front and back? or front, back, side to side? how fast do you want it, or how slow? you want it do be heard when you lower your ride, or  do you want it stealth/no sound? you want your tank hidden out of the way, or displayed in the trunk? how much you looking to spend?

my answers:
front and back
normal duration (isn't there a standard measure?)
not worried about sound
tank can be visible in the trunk
looking to spend 1000 to 1800 (I have coilovers already)

I'd say just go with Universal Air.that's pretty much all you need.and it can also be installed on the coiloversif its the right size.my car isn't bagged yet but it will be in a week.

purchase a kit or piece it thogether? Don't they have a universal kit for 2 in diameter struts/coilovers?

just wait till you see the price for an air suspension made by Aimgain, JP or Moda Parfume... how does 8 to 12K? yes, that is insane to me as well, specially when you see aftermarket air suspenaion for american cars for about 900...

you can get alot of the parts pretty cheap off of suicidedoors.com they have the best prices that i have found

Keep in mind that lot of these cheaper airbag kits are not exactly complete. When I had Universal Air in my xB, I needed to go back and forth to Home Depot to pick up fittings which were missing from the kit. 

You'll also need to take into account some items which is NOT included with the kit (ie. wiring/connectors/fuses, bolts/nuts/hardware, teflon, etc).

Lastly, these cheaper kits (most times), don't include a pressure gauge and sensors. So you pretty much need to adjust the height by feel and sight.

In the end you do end up spending less than the more expensive brand (granted you do the labor yourself) but the cheaper kits end up costing more than you initially anticipated. And there is usually a bit more of a hassle installing. Just keep that in mind.
