Negative Camber thread
ok so in this thread show a picture of your setup and tell us how many degrees of camber your running... after searching for a frame of reference for a certain amount of camber (and not having that much luck) i thought this would be a good thread....
i'll start. my rear is supposedly at -6 and my fronts ???...

Noob question: how is camber achieved and how does it factor into offset? Not trying to muddy up or dumb down a sticky thread. If this is deemed off topic, please delete my comment and I will start a thread.

101:
-Camber is an alignment term to tell the wheels vertical position, measured in a degree of the wheels vertical angle
-Zero camber wheels sit [] --- []
-Positive camber \\ ---- //
-Negative camber // --- \\
-Camber normally is adjusted from lower arms eccentric mounting bolts
-Aftermarket lower and upper control arms can be adjusted by changing their length, so your either pulling inwards or pushing outwards the upper portion of the wheel( upper control arm ) or the lower portion( lower control arm )
-Also some coilovers can have a camber plate that moves the struts angle, hence worth changing camber
-Camber=suspension geometry, offset=distance between the wheel mounting surface and the wheel center line
-And with negative camber you can make a low offset wide wheel fit without extensive bodywork, if it normally sticks out.
Hope this helps

Chris tarkoittaa, että mikäli haluaa kunnolla eteen camberia niin kannattaa heti modata niiden tukivarsien pallonivelen kinnityskohdat. Eli käytännössä laajentaa sitä reikää "sisäänpäin", eli tästä (ooo) tähän (oooooo). Tällöin saa lisää säätöaluetta negatiivista camberia varten ja samallahan se auttaa vetään vanteen yläpäätä sisäänpäin. Got it?

Took this yesterday...
I re-checked my calculations and noticed that it ain't 17,5*, I used a wrong measurement. Sin1(158/545)=16,85 degrees of neg camber... and it's too much =)
Biggest problem with this is that I can't get much natural camber when aired out, so I had to tweak the lca adjustment to get something more suited to a daily driver. New pics and measures coming in the morning :innoutrofl2:

Here is some camber from a previous project, now dead and in the shredded for metal. Ran perfectly fine with 135k miles, but no room left to store. lol

So is this how i can force camber in the front, with camber plates, i guess it does the opposite of a camber kit? Sorry still learning.

they don't make camber plates for ucf3x, due to the double wishbone suspension, you wouldn't achieve any camber by shifting the shock body.

Well with the GS/SC you can put MKIV Supras adjustable RUCAs, I got -18* with just them and Cuban got -21*(???) with adjustable upper and lower arms and he also notched the RUCAs mounting points.

Well yes, but you could always ditch the Ikeya arms and get something with more adjustment... Like the ones me and Cuban got. I got -18 degr. with just the upper arms and I didn't notch the mounting points...

I ALMOST after researching bought 19x10+0 f 11+0 back because tcs made adjustable rucas but as of jan this yr they discontinued them. So unless you feel like shelling 1k plus or maybe 649 plus shipping on ikyea formulas, you better think about your options. The formulas from what i read you need to tell them if your looking for negative or positive fitment.
So im playing it safe and sticking to the same setup but +10 all the way around. lol. Sorry negative thread i tried. i really did lol
TLC arms... I think that they copied their design from some Japanese manufacturer. I've also seen different colored "no name" arms on sale some tuning shop in Finland...

Ended up contacting a VIP workshop in Japan that made a set of rear lower arms to push the bottom of the wheels out:

Nice and Simple, how long is the adjustment?
BTW what's your fitment situ? Keeping in mind that pushing the lower out doesn't help with fitment...

Of course it is, but in this game proper fitment is also an important aspect...

I was on air but running -14 front camber with -22 rear camber and my tires looked new still, I just installed my T-Demand coils that are 45/35k rates so I'll give another update after I re align my car again to gain more camber in the front.

Yeah, same here. Tires be taking a beating with them rates.
My old car used to run -9. Last about a year by flipping but it was a lighter car with soft rates.
